‘Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment are leading the way in the first wave.’
Yesterday, during the Nintendo Direct presentation, Microsoft announced that two of their Xbox titles will be available on other consoles. One of these games is Pentiment, which will be released today on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. Pentiment, which has received critical acclaim, was originally exclusive to Xbox, PC, and Xbox Cloud since its launch in late 2022. The game’s unique animated historical art style has garnered attention, and its director, Josh Sawyer, credits Game Pass for making the creation and launch of such a niche game possible. Xbox boss Phil Spencer stated earlier this month that the selected titles for multi-platform release had reached their full potential on Xbox and PC before being transferred.
The other game making its way to other consoles is Grounded, which will be available on April 16. Additionally, Microsoft confirmed that Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves will be released on PlayStation 5.
