New Insect Simulator Game Allows Players to Control Heroic Ants.
A new video game called Empire of the Ants is set to give players a more immersive experience in the mysterious world of ants. As the most populous insect on Earth, ants have long fascinated scientists and researchers. However, there is still much to learn about these tiny creatures. The upcoming game, based on a hit sci-fi book series, will allow players to take control of a heroic ant and protect their colony.
The recently released trailer for Empire of the Ants showcases incredibly realistic graphics, with the ants depicted in stunning detail. The game was built using Epic Games’ powerful Unreal Engine 5, resulting in a visually impressive experience. The trailer showcases a bustling forest environment, complete with hundreds of ants going about their activities.
Gameplay in Empire of the Ants combines elements of real-time strategy and third-person adventuring. Players will need to utilize strategy, exploration, and combat skills, and form alliances with local wildlife to overcome the challenges they face. The game also features scalable difficulty levels, a dynamic day-night cycle, and seasonal changes that impact gameplay.
Empire of the Ants is set to release in 2024 for PC and consoles. Developer Tower Five, known for their work on Lornsword Winter Chronicles and the ill-fated 2020 remake of XIII, is behind the game. Publisher Microids, who previously released a smaller-scale adaptation of Empire of the Ants in 2000, is bringing the game to players.
