Valve’s beta update introduces new feature today.

Valve, the popular gaming company, has released a new update for its Steam Client Beta, which brings a highly anticipated feature to the forefront. The update introduces 4K support to the Steam Remote Play service, allowing gamers to easily optimize their preferred titles for high-resolution settings through a range of presets. Previously, achieving 4K resolution while playing remotely required extensive tinkering with settings and often resulted in less than satisfactory outcomes. This latest update aims to address these issues and provide a more seamless experience for gamers.

The inclusion of 4K support in Steam Remote Play now enables gamers to fully utilize high-end peripherals, such as 4K monitors, when engaging in remote streaming play. For those unfamiliar with the service, Steam Remote Play allows users to stream PC games from their Steam library to various devices like phones, tablets, laptops, and more. Additionally, its companion service, Steam Remote Play Together, even allows players who do not own the game to join in competitive or cooperative play.

While 4K streaming is the most notable addition in this update, Valve has also implemented other features and improvements. Users can now resize the settings window, making it easier to navigate and customize their preferences. The back button has also been made more reliable, particularly when fine-tuning 4K streams. Furthermore, Valve has addressed several bugs, including the re-creation of folders when verifying game installations and overlays freezing during file dialog displays.

In addition to these updates, minor bug fixes have been applied to Big Picture Mode, and Steam now supports the Indonesian language. The update is currently available for download, but it’s important to note that this is a beta version. If users prefer a stable release, they may want to wait for the official final release.
