‘The highly anticipated game, inspired by Jet Set Radio, will debut on the Switch and PC in mid-August.’
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the highly anticipated game developed by Team Reptile, is set to make its way to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. The game, which draws inspiration from the popular title Jet Set Radio, was initially scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch and PC on August 18th. However, the developer has now announced that PlayStation and Xbox users will only have to wait an additional two weeks, as the game will be released for their consoles on September 1st.
Described by Team Reptile as a vibrant world where graffiti crews armed with personal boostpacks compete for control of the streets, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk captures the essence of the classic Dreamcast game Jet Set Radio, which was first released in 2000. In this upcoming funkstyle game, players will have the opportunity to explore the five main boroughs of New Amsterdam, engaging in activities such as graffiti spraying, dance battles, and clashes with rival crews.
Furthermore, players can expand their crew by recruiting new members throughout the city, utilizing inline skates, skateboards, or bikes to traverse the urban landscape. They will also be able to perform tricks using the environment. Adding another layer of gameplay, players must be cautious of the increasingly militarized police force as they progress, as law enforcement intensifies their efforts to apprehend the vandals the longer they engage in street art.
