Apple Set to Unveil Three New M3 Chips at “Scary Fast” Mac Event
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to showcase three new M3 chips at its highly anticipated “Scary Fast” Mac event on Monday night. The event, scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET, is expected to feature multiple hardware announcements. Gurman previously reported that Apple has been working on a new 24-inch iMac, which might make its debut at the event alongside upgraded MacBook Pros powered by the new M3 series.
Gurman provides some insights into the specifications of the M3 chips in his Power On newsletter. The standard M3 chip is likely to have an eight-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, similar to the M2 chip. However, the M3 will offer improved performance speed and memory. Additionally, Apple is testing various configurations for the M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. The M3 Pro could feature a 12-core CPU and an 18-core GPU, with the option for a pricier 14-core CPU and a 20-core GPU. On the other hand, the M3 Max might come with 16 CPU cores and either 32 or 40 GPU cores.
While the exact details will only be revealed during Apple’s October event, eager fans won’t have to wait much longer. Join us here to watch the event unfold.
