‘It incorporates the company’s pioneering Legend 3 design language originally unveiled with its laptops.’
In exciting news for gaming enthusiasts, Alienware has unveiled its latest offering in the form of the Aurora R16 desktop. This updated version of their flagship computer comes with a fresh design and a range of new features, making it an attractive option for those in the market for a new gaming computer.
One of the most noticeable changes is the departure from the previous triangle shape, which has been replaced by the sleek rectangular Legend 3 design that Alienware introduced with its gaming laptops earlier this year. Despite its smaller size, the Aurora R16 maintains the same internal volume, ensuring that upgradability is not compromised. Additionally, it introduces the Alienware Command Center for desktops, enhancing the user experience.
Aside from the design overhaul, the Aurora R16 boasts several other impressive features. It offers a 20 percent reduction in acoustics, resulting in a quieter gaming experience. The desktop also operates at seven percent lower temperatures, ensuring that performance is not compromised by excessive heat. Furthermore, the larger air intakes and exhausts contribute to a 54.5 percent larger open ratio, promoting efficient cooling.
Storage and connectivity options have also been enhanced in the Aurora R16. With two M.2 PCIe slots, users can enjoy up to 8TB of storage capacity. The desktop supports Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5 Gbps ethernet, ensuring seamless connectivity for online gaming and other activities.
Available now for $1,750, the Alienware Aurora R16 desktop offers a range of graphics card options. In the US and Canada, buyers can choose between the RTX 4070 or RTX 4070 Ti, while European and Asian markets will also have access to the RTX 3050 and RTX 4080.
